And as for Halloween....

We wanted to share some pictures from our Halloween! We celebrated with nne of our good friends who put together a murder mystery dinner party! It was such a fun night, and even better we got to dress in our Halloween best!! Andy and i went as Mr. Incredible and Elasta Girl! We were also the lucky selected to be killed at the beginning of the evening. Big thanks to J.J and his sweet mother who put on a yummy dinner and funny entertainment!

This is where we were found, killed from a vial of poison!

As we got closer to Halloween we invited our dear friends the Brady's down to carve pumpkins! We had a ton of fun and Jaime got some god pictures! The Brady's have since moved from our fourplex and we miss them a ton!!! Mac and Jaime are preparing to move to Alaska sometime this coming year. We are very excited for them but will miss our buddies! Though they aren't just upstairs anymore they are still in our ward, in fact Jaime just got called as a primary chorister with me! Yeah!!!

Jaime will take pictures of anything!! these are the yummy apple treats i made with the help of my talented mother in-law

The works of art!

Anyways... on to thanksgiving. We were so excited to get to tag along with Andy's parents to Huntington Beach CALIFORNIA!!! We very much enjoyed the warm weather while Utah was getting beat with the first big snow storm of the season! We spent Thanksgiving day at Knottsberry Farm riding rollercoasters and enjoying snoopy on ice. I wish i had pictures to post from our fantastic day! I think everyone should spend their holiday at an amusement park! We did however have a traditional turkey dinner the following day. We spent most the morning and afternoon playing at the beach. The cousins played football and we made some pretty impressive sand castles.
Big thanks to Uncle Doug and Aunt Tracie for having us that week!!! We was the best Thanksgiving EVER!!!

Fall Frenzie

My goodness am i this lazy to be posting about Halloween and the kick off to our fall?? Im just not a fan of blogging without pictures cause i seriously doubt we are that interesting without some kind of visual aid. I wanted to share a fun trip we took to Wendover with our good friends and old neighbors the Bradys earlier this fall. Mac serves in the air guard and so when we caught wind of an airshow close they invited us to tag along! It was a hot day and we left with some impressive tan lines! The show was full of fun flight demos of jets and acrobat planes, along with a FLAME THROWER!!! We got there very early so as to have front row seats to all of it!! These pictures were taken by Jaime. She is so fun to go to anything with cause she takes a million pictures, as any fabulous photographer does!

We found a plane that was in from IDAHO. I had to represent!

This is me and Jaime flying a cargo plane!

See what i mean? she captures every moment:)

The Count Down

It has been a great transition from summer to fall here in Utah. The beautiful sunny weather carried through to the end of this month, and just this week the leave have started turning their crispy autumn colors. I do regret that we didn't get up to any of the canyons to enjoy the fall colors this year because i hear that it is the most breathtaking time of year for Utah. But in the mean time we have been gearing up for what is my absolute favorite holiday of the year. HALLOWEEN!!! I feel like i will forever be a kid at heart when it comes to the 31st of October. One of my favorite things about Halloween are the silly decorations and this year i wanted to try my hand at making some of our own. I spent some time on Martha Stewart.com where i found lots of different ideas.

This was one of them. They are glow in the dark eyes that i painted onto the glass of some frames i found at TJ Max. Martha did her's on a giant mirror which was cute, but kinda expensive to buy so i resorted to picture frames. We have them displayed right in front of our TV!

This was another Martha project. I tied these candies to a wreath frame and it took me forever!!! But i really turned out cute. I think i can do the same thing with red and green candies for Christmas.

So this was from a website i found Howdoesshe.com which had a ton of fun ideas for all holidays. Andy took me to Home depot and we bought a giant plank of wood that he later that night cut up for me. They turned out cute, and it was my first Modge Podge project!

This one is probably my favorite. I found the kit to make it at a local scrap booking store. They had tons of fun different projects so i think i will pick up some more for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

We have a lot to look forward to this weekend. We were planning to go to frightmares at Lagoon if the weather corroperates. Its supposed to rain and snow tomorrow but i think we will rough it cause i've been waiting for sooooo long to go! We are also looking forward to a murder mystery dinner party at our friends this weekend. we get to dress up in our costumes and i cant wait! We are going as Mr. Incredible and Elasta Girl this year! Its gonna be great!!!!

Labor Day Weekend

Oh what a weekend! Andy and i spent the holiday in Idaho visiting my Family! I enjoy so much getting to spend time with my nieces and nephew. We had a good time together. I wish we could see them every day, but im grateful that compared to my big sister who lives clear over in Michigan, we can at least visit once a month! We spent Saturday night at a reception that was being held in my parents backyard. Stephanie Larson was a sunning bride and her reception was very beautiful. It was such a nice evening! Andy and i kept getting comments on how our reception was a rainy one, but to be very honest i wouldn't have it any other way! We pulled of the evening with i beautiful giant tent, space heaters, hot chocolate and sparkling lights! This weekend Andy and i are celebrating our six month anniversary! Oh time is flying, but honest it feels like i have been married my whole life! Andy has made my life so meaningful and i love him to pieces!

Our Idaho reception

Before we left to come home to Utah i got a special visit from my best friend from hair school. Lindsay had her baby in July and i have been so excited to finally meet this little guy. We had such a nice visit, and i am in love with baby Grant! I feel like i've known him forever! He is such a sweet baby and i know he makes Lindsay and her husband so happy! I miss Lindsay so much and all that time we spent completing our cosmetology hours. We joked that we spent more time together than she did at home! That's what 2,000 hours does to ya! Lindsay is such a good friend to me and im so happy for her new family!

I haven't forgotten how to blog

I was so excited to start a blog after Andy and i got married but i have to admit i am a bit embarrassed that im not doing very well at keeping updated and so in an attempt to redeem myself here's a look at whats been going on!

Andy and i have kept very busy this summer working, working, working. My job at Cookie Cutters picked up in this warm weather and im excited to have been given a promotion to store manager. Im glad to be able to build my cosmetology resume and look forward to moving on to a full service salon hopefully by next year. Andy has been very successful selling insurance and seems to enjoy it very much. He starts school mid September and is anticipating a heavy work load with school, working construction and selling insurance. He is such a hard worker and im very proud of him. We just signed up at a local gym this week too and we are enjoying being able to spend time together working out.

Highlight of our summer was of course our trip to Lake Powell with Andy's family! What a week! We love spending time with all the cousins, aunts and uncles! I got up on the ski for the first time (after many many attempts) and by brother in law Brady helped me catch my first fish!!! We were fed soooooo good the whole week and soaked up as much sun as possible! Cant wait till next year

Lastly i thought i would show off some of my summer projects i completed.

Our kitchen has such little storage space so i bought this shelving to help display some of the beautiful bowls we got as gifts from the wedding. It also has helped in keeping other kitchen utensils stored. I was so proud of myself hammering and and putting it all together!

Since we were married we have been anxious to get pictures up on our walls. In the mean time i found some frames at T.J. Max, painted them and displayed them on our book shelf! So Pretty!!!

Vegas Baby!

Wow what a weekend! Now that all our wedding events are officially over Andy and i were excited to be invited along to Visit his sister and family in Las Vegas. We hit up the Strip and i got to play my first slot machine. It was pretty lame, i don't get how folks get themselves wrapped up in gambling, but i suppose Andy won't have to worry about me! It was fun seeing all the Hotels and visiting the M&M and Coke stores. I got a pretty cool surprise this day too. Earlier we walked into a Tiffany and Co. store which was amazing! All i have ever wanted was a little blue box from Tiffany's with something in it. Never did i imagine that Andy would secretly buy me the most beautiful Key charm necklace and hide it away for me to hide! It was so romantic and so thoughtful of him! I love him so much, and now am sporting a gorgeous necklace! We also spent a day out by the pool. Unfortunately the pool wasn't heated but we still had fun splashing around with the girls. Andy and i also walked away with some sunburns for souvenirs. Probably the highlight of the trip was getting hooked up with awesome seats to Phantom of the Opera! I was my first time seeing it on stage and it was fabulous! We were sad to pack up and go but we will be back! Big thanks to Brady and Amy for making it such a fun weekend! We enjoyed so much playing with our nieces and nephew, and are excited to make another trip very soon!

I GOT A JOB!!!!

Yesterday i started my new job at The Cookie Cutters-Haircuts for Kids, and holy cow i love it! The salon has got to be the most darling family friendly place in the world! Each station comes equip with a television and PlayStation to help keep the kids still with movies or video games. The chairs are all themed airplanes, fire tucks or pink princess cars! Im so happy that after a month of trying to decide where i wanted to be as far as cutting hair goes, i found the perfect place for me. I think i will transition easily after working all those years at the waterpark and swimming lessons for my mom. Im still doing really well doing hair out of our apartment and am very grateful for all the support from friends and family who are helping me get going on this new career. Im so happy where im at, and am excited to see what else is ahead!

One month down...

Today Andy and i celebrated our one month anniversary! Can you believe it! We really did have the most amazing wedding and life since really has been so perfect! We can't wait until next month when we get to relive it at the Idaho reception! Im excited to get to celebrate all over again with friends and neighbors in Meridian, lets just hope i can fit in my wedding dress by then!

For Family home evening we made waffles for dinner and enjoyed them in our pajamas! It was a regular p.j. party. We tried out our new waffle iron and loved it! Seeing as it was the hot item from the wedding (we received 4 of them) we were satisfied we kept the right one. They were huge, fluffy and delicious. So big thank you to our brother in laws family, because it is the mother of all irons!

I think i got this.....

So first things first on my list of new married people activities.... create a blog all about me and my handsome husband for the whole world to see! I hardly doubt out lives are worth reading about, but this is what married people do... start blogs. So im climbing on board with the new trend and putting together what will one day be a cute page full of our witty stories and adventures. This will definitely be a project!
